Celebrating 30 Years

This year, Clover Residential turns 30.

It’s a milestone that’s made us pause, not just to look back, but to remember how it all really began.

It all started quietly. No flashy launch. No big campaign. Just Lois and Barry Dutton, a couple of phone lines, and a simple promise: Do the work well. Do it with care. Back then, we weren’t even called Clover. We were Duttons & Co. Real Estate, named after our founders. But the heart of Clover? It was already beating. Steadily, genuinely, humbly.

From our first office in Fairfield to now working with clients across Greater Victoria, a lot has changed. The city has grown. So have we. But the reasons people come to us and stay with us are still deeply personal.

It’s the family looking for their next chapter.
The homeowner who needs steady hands.
The investor who values clear advice over a hard sell.
The tenant who just wants to feel looked after.

Today, we manage over $265 million in assets, and our sales have crossed $1 billion. But behind those numbers is a team of 18 people who show up every day with local knowledge and a real sense of care.

We’ve evolved. We’ve updated our name, sharpened our tools, and modernized how we work. But some things stay the same, like the way we answer our phones with a real human voice, give back to our community, and still believe the small moments matter.

Because to us, this isn’t just business. It’s personal. And as we look to the future, we’re not trying to reinvent who we are. We’re building on what’s already working — with intention, integrity, and the same heart that started it all.

So, to our clients, families, residents, trades — thank you for the trust you’ve placed in us.

You’re the reason we’re here. And the reason we keep going. Here’s to the next 30.

We’re Clover Residential. And after thirty years, we’re exactly where we want to be!
